Arsenal Vs Watford 13/03/2016
Arsenals quest for a third consecutive FA cup trophy continues this Sunday as Watford travel to the Emirates Stadium. It’s a big game for the gunners who are expected to win on home soil and continue their highly impressive FA cup form.
Arsenal enter the quarter finals off the back of a very convincing win against Hull mid week netting 4 goals. The Hornets however, have won all three of their FA Cup matches with only 1-0 wins.
Aaron Ramsey is unlikely to start against Watford due to sustaining another thigh injury, which will keep him out of the squad for approximately 4 weeks.
Petr Cech will be replaced by David Ospina given his calf injury and Laurent Kosielny isn’t expected to return until the Champions League clash with Barcelona next week.
Arsenal have won four of their FA cup meetings with Watford losing only one match. Arsene Wengers side have won 15 consecutive rounds of the FA Cup, the record being 16. Watford have won their last two FA Cup quarter final ties.
I think Arsenal will be too strong on home soil against Watford, especially with the form they hold in the FA Cup, they will be determined not to give their trophy away. If Watfords form was as good as it was at the beginning of the season then I think they could give Arsenal a good run for their money. But with their current form in the premiere league I think they will struggle against the Reds.
2-0 to the Arsenal.
