The Gunners close the curtain on another trophy less season at home to relegated Aston Villa on Sunday afternoon, as they look to secure a 19th consecutive year of Champions League football.

Arsenal are on the brink of winning five consecutive league matches against Aston Villa for the first time in their history if they win on Sunday. The Gunners have previously only lost three of their last 34 games against Villa, which were all at the Emirates Stadium.

The last meeting between these two sides saw Arsenal go top of the Premier League courtesy of a 0-2 win against Aston Villa that left Garde’s side bottom of the table.

Arsenal are currently unbeaten in 9 games, but 5 of those ended in draws. Aston Villa have not won an away game in any competition since the opening day of the season at Bournemouth.

Aston Villas form has been sinking all season only winning 3 games, drawing 8 and loosing an astounding 26. Arsenal’s players would have to not turn up to the match in order for Aston Villa to stand any chance of winning this game. Its a no brainer and an easy three points for the Gunners. Aston Villa have absolutely nothing to play for except pride but even that wouldn’t be enough to down the Gunners on the final day of the season. Arsenal will run riot at the Emirates and I can see them racking up the goals.

4-0 to The Arsenal
